We're reading a book in our Small Group called "One Month to Live." Not a completely new concept, but slowly sinking in... What if you had only one month to live? What would you do? How would you spend your precious moments here on earth? What would you change about the way you're living now?

For me - I would spend more time with my friends and family. I want to go on crazy trips and cut loose doing Karaoke (for those of you who know me, this is probably shocking). I wouldn't worry about what people think so much. I wouldn't let the little things bother me. I would run my business from a place of "fun" and make sure I'm having "fun" and enjoying "beauty" every day. I would love more, laugh more and worry less. I would babysit for my friends more and look at life through the eyes of the child. I would banish the word diet from my vocabulary and eat to enjoy and fuel my body with quality - not quantity. I would go back to the days of "P.E." and find a fun sport to enjoy rather than put my body through the ringer at the gym. I'd think of positive things more and banish the ugly, demoralizing thoughts from my brain.

I'd become all I was meant to be - and if I only had 30 days to live, I KNOW I'd figure out a way to do it all. So why can't I start today and live my life this way?

What about you? What would you do if you only had 30 days left to live? Hmmmm.......?

I am with you Tammi. I know that I try inject some fun into EVERYDAY to remember that I am alive. Sometimes I just let all my inner exuberance out in a hoot or yell and sometimes I jump up like I am cheer leading (some of you have seen me do this move!).

The key is to stay in touch with that happy-go-lucky- kid and live life with an expectation of happiness and impending joy.

For some people you may need to peel away quite a few layers and give yourself permission, but I highly recommend it. And don't worry how it looks to anyone else. Remember, YOU are the only one that you have breakfast with EVERYDAY, so you are the one to be accountable to!
Great reminder I can't wait to go run through the grass in my bare feet and do some cartwheels!

Tammi,

so happy to find you in this sand box, i loved your blog. it is an awesome thought to ponder what if we only had 30 days to live. but in reality we only have this moment, this now, how will we live it to the fullest and not squander it on negative thoughts that hinder and cause us to not move into our greatness. My hearts goal is to stay in inspired action of the NOW as this is the only for sure in this life.
thank you Tammi for bringing up the wonderment of being present to the life we have and not to waste it on negative thinking or actions.

Enthusiastically,

BarBara

Tammi - you are absolutely right. We should all live life to the fullest. When we spoke yesterday and you told me about the CMU professor - it brought tears to my eyes. I couldn't imagine knowing what he and his family are going through!

You are an amazing, inspirational, fantastic woman! I'm so thankful to have you as my friend!

Nicely said! It's always refreshing to be reminded about the preciousness of every second we have the opportunity to breathe - think - live. Thank you for sharing.
